In November 2022, OpenAI launched ChatGPT, a chatbot. It is built on the Open AI GPT - 3.5 big language model families and can be trained using both supervised and reinforcement learning techniques. ChatGPT is supported by OpenAI.ChatGPT was built on top of GPT-3.5 and improved with supervised and reinforcement learning. In both approaches, human trainers were used to improve the model's performance. In the case of supervised learning, the model was fed interactions in which the trainers acted both as the user and as the AI assistant. Human trainers ranked responses generated by the model in a previous conversation during the reinforcement step.
